We limit collection to information reasonably needed to operate Yumeva, improve safety, and personalize the experience.

Clear privacy rights
Depending on applicable law, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to certain processing.
Built for social discovery, written for clarity.
Yumeva may include features such as nearby discovery, vibe fit, event hosting, requests, invitations, messaging, connections, reports, blocks, and push notifications. This page explains how privacy works across those experiences.
What this policy covers
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Yumeva collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects personal information when you use our website, mobile application, and related services.
Yumeva is a social activity discovery service for adults. It helps people discover activities, request to join events, communicate with participants, and maintain connections after shared activities.
This policy should be read together with our Terms of Service and any permission notices shown when a feature requests access to information such as your location, photos, camera, or notifications.

- Account and verification information, including your email address, phone number, verification status, password hash, authentication-provider identifiers, account status, and settings.
- Profile information you provide, including display name, bio, age range, city, photos, languages, interests, personality-test answers and results, vibe tags, preferences, and discoverability settings.
- Event and participation information, including events you create or view, join requests, invitations, participant status, attendance-related information, feedback, event costs, meeting details, and activity history.
- Communication and safety information, including event-chat and direct-message content, message metadata, connections, blocks, reports, report reasons, moderation records, and support correspondence.
- Location-related information, including selected city, event locations, search radius, approximate location, or precise device location when you grant permission and use a location-based feature.
- Device and technical information, including IP address, device and operating-system information, app version, language, timestamps, security events, diagnostic logs, and crash or performance information where collected.
- Push-notification information, including device tokens, notification preferences, and delivery status when notifications are enabled.
- Information other users provide as part of the service, such as invitations, join requests, event participation records, messages, reports, or feedback that refers to you.
Where information comes from
4. Sources of Information
We collect information directly from you, automatically from your device when you use the service, from other Yumeva users when they interact with you, and from third-party services you choose to use.
- Directly from you when you register, verify your account, complete onboarding, build a profile, create or join events, communicate, submit feedback, report content, or contact support.
- Automatically through the app and website, such as technical logs, security events, device information, and feature usage.
- From Apple, Google, or another authentication provider when you choose an external sign-in method, subject to the permissions and information that provider shares.
- From other users when they invite you, communicate with you, add you to an event workflow, submit feedback, block you, or report content or conduct.
Purposes
5. How We Use Information
We use personal information only for specified purposes connected with operating, protecting, and improving Yumeva.
- To register and verify accounts, authenticate users, maintain profiles, and provide account settings.
- To create, discover, manage, and participate in events, invitations, join requests, chats, feedback, and connections.
- To show nearby activities, distances, event details, recommendations, match signals, and atmosphere or vibe-fit indicators.
- To deliver service communications, including verification, security, event, invitation, request, connection, feedback, and account notifications.
- To investigate reports, moderate content, enforce our Terms, prevent fraud or abuse, protect users, and maintain platform integrity.
- To diagnose problems, secure the service, measure reliability, understand feature performance, and improve the product.
- To respond to support and privacy requests, establish or defend legal claims, and comply with applicable legal obligations.
- To send marketing communications only where permitted by law and with any consent that is required. You can withdraw from marketing communications at any time.
Why processing is lawful
6. Legal Bases for Processing
Where the GDPR or similar law applies, the legal basis depends on the information, feature, and purpose involved.
- Contract: processing that is necessary to create and operate your account and provide requested features such as profiles, event discovery, participation, invitations, messaging, feedback, and connections.
- Consent: optional processing that relies on your choice, such as precise device location, certain device permissions, non-essential cookies, or marketing communications where consent is required. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
- Legitimate interests: protecting users, preventing abuse, securing and improving the service, troubleshooting, maintaining moderation records, and providing relevant recommendations. We assess these interests against the rights and reasonable expectations of users.
- Legal obligation: processing required to comply with applicable law, regulatory duties, lawful requests, recordkeeping, or the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims.
- Vital interests or public interest: exceptionally, processing that is necessary to protect a person from a serious and immediate threat or to cooperate with competent authorities where permitted by law.
Your choices
7. Required and Optional Information
Certain information is required to create an account, verify access, and provide core Yumeva features. If required information is not provided, we may be unable to create or maintain your account or provide the requested feature.
Other information and permissions are optional. For example, you can refuse precise-location or push-notification permission, although some nearby-discovery or notification functionality may then be limited.
You can update many profile fields and permissions through the app or your device settings. Revoking a device permission stops future access through that permission but does not automatically delete information that was lawfully collected earlier.
Personalization and profiling
8. Recommendations, Personality, and Vibe Fit
Yumeva may use profile details, personality-test responses and results, vibe tags, interests, languages, location context, event metadata, and activity to produce recommendations, match scores, atmosphere previews, or vibe-fit indicators.
This processing may constitute profiling under data-protection law, but it is intended only to support discovery and user choice. Yumeva does not use these indicators to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.
Recommendations and scores may be incomplete or inaccurate. You remain responsible for deciding whether an event, host, attendee, or connection is appropriate for you.
Nearby discovery
9. Location Data
Location features help Yumeva show nearby activities, calculate approximate distance, select places, and support map-based discovery.
When you grant location permission, your device may provide approximate or precise coordinates depending on your settings and the feature being used. Your device location is not displayed to other users merely because location permission is enabled.
Event locations and meeting details entered by a host may be shown to users as part of the event experience. You should not use a private home address unless you understand and accept who will be able to view it.
You can control location permission through your device settings. Disabling it may limit location-based functionality, but you may still be able to select a city or browse using other available methods.
Where data may be processed
12. International Data Transfers
Some service providers may process personal information outside Lithuania or the European Economic Area.
Where required, we rely on recognised safeguards such as an adequacy decision, the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, supplementary measures, or another lawful transfer mechanism. You may contact us for more information about safeguards relevant to your data.
How long information is kept
13. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy. The period depends on the type of information, account status, safety needs, legal obligations, limitation periods, and whether information is needed to establish or defend claims.
- Account and profile information is generally retained while your account is active and is deleted or anonymized after a valid deletion request, except where retention is necessary for a lawful reason.
- Event, participation, invitation, feedback, and message records may remain for a limited period where needed to preserve other users' records, investigate safety issues, resolve disputes, or maintain service integrity.
- Reports, blocks, moderation decisions, fraud-prevention records, and evidence of serious misuse may be retained for longer where reasonably necessary to protect users, prevent repeat abuse, or establish and defend legal claims.
- Technical and security logs are retained for limited operational periods unless a longer period is necessary to investigate an incident, abuse, fraud, or a reliability problem.
- Residual copies may remain temporarily in protected backups until they are overwritten through the normal backup cycle.
Access, deletion, and objection
14. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access to your personal data, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may also withdraw consent at any time where processing relies on consent.
You can submit a request using the privacy email below. We may ask for information necessary to verify your identity and protect the account. Under the GDPR, we normally respond within one month, although the law permits an extension in certain complex cases.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Lithuania, the relevant authority is the State Data Protection Inspectorate. You may also contact the authority in your country of residence or work where applicable.
Leaving Yumeva
15. Account and Data Deletion
You can initiate deletion of your Yumeva account from the account settings in the mobile app. You may also contact us if you cannot access the in-app deletion option.
Account deletion is intended to remove or anonymize the account and associated personal information that we are not legally or legitimately required to retain. It is not merely a temporary deactivation.
Some records may be retained or separated from your active account where necessary for legal compliance, security, fraud prevention, moderation, dispute resolution, or the protection of other users. Content already shared in conversations or event records may remain in a limited form where deletion would affect other users' legitimate records, but we will reduce or anonymize identifying information where reasonably possible.
Protection measures
16. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. Measures may include access controls, authentication, encryption in transit, monitoring, backups, and restricted administrative access.
No system can be guaranteed completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your credentials and device and for notifying us promptly if you believe your account or information has been compromised.
Use care when sharing
17. Sensitive Information
Yumeva does not require users to disclose special-category information such as health details, religious or political beliefs, sexual orientation, or similar sensitive information in ordinary profile fields.
Because users can write messages and descriptions, you may choose to reveal sensitive information yourself. Please share only information that is necessary and that you are comfortable making available to the intended recipients.
Personality-test answers and vibe-fit information are used for social recommendations and are not intended to diagnose health, mental-health, or medical conditions.
Adults only
18. Age Limit
Yumeva is intended only for individuals who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly allow children or minors under 18 to create or use an account.
If we learn that an account belongs to a person under 18, or that we collected their personal information contrary to this policy or applicable law, we may suspend or delete the account and take reasonable steps to remove the information.
A parent, guardian, or other person who believes that an underage person has provided information to Yumeva should contact us at the privacy email below.
Updates
19. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to Yumeva, our service providers, legal requirements, or privacy practices.
If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users before or when they take effect, such as updating the effective date, displaying a notice, or sending a service communication. Where required, we will request new consent before beginning materially different consent-based processing.
